As the Wolfram representative for University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, I am often contacted by faculty and students from a variety of departments who are interested in Mathematica. Many are unaware of their options for using Mathematica on campus and at home, so I wanted to touch base and offer my assistance.
If you are not currently using Mathematica on campus, let me know. I can outline how your department is involved with the site license and your options for using Mathematica, including any related costs.
If you are using Mathematica on campus through the site license, you can request a faculty/staff home-use license for your personal machine here: http://url.wolfram.com/8lCjGy4/
Let me know if you need the site license number for this form.
The site license also gives your students an easy way to use Mathematica on their personal computers. If you want details to include in a course syllabus, just let me know and I can send those to you.
Email or give me a call if you need any help accessing Mathematica, or if you have questions about how best to utilize Mathematica for your particular projects.
Best regards,
Justin Smith
